~The Metropolitan - Lot # 3~

Designed and built in 1932 by famed architect Pierpont Cass-Hawkings. The Metropolitan was the first residence in SimCity built in the Modern style. It was Cass-Hawkings' personal residence until his death in 1954.
The home was purchased in 1958 by "shag" artist Tyrone Livermore as his home and studio. Livermore painted no less than nine murals on the walls of his home, turning it into a permanent showcase of his work. By 1960, Livermore had achieved stellar fame in his field and the Metropolitan became the site of a continuous party that lasted until his untimely death some seven years later due to an accidental ingestion of turpentine. His will set up a trust for the maintenance of the murals that adorn the walls of his former residence.
